I love going to the farmers market to get non GMO, organic fruits and vegetables. Most foods in the store has chemicals and ingredients I can't even pronounce. With all the side effects linked to these chemicals I have decided that it is best for me and my family to go Organic.
The benefits to Organic food is often fresher because it doesn’t contain preservatives that make it last longer. Organic produce is often (but not always) produced on smaller farms near where it is sold. Which means when you buy organic at your local farmers market you will be supporting your community and stimulating your local economy. Organic farming is also better for the environment, it reduces pollution and without pesticides it will not effect the surrounding wild life, as well as water supply of all who live near by.
Yes you will pay a little more for organic food but in my opinion the benefits to our environment, and our health make buying organics well worth the extra cost.
